MORE THAN 50 MAYORS AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS ANNOUNCE SUPPORT FOR KEN PAXTON SENATE BID
Entire Allen City Council, Majority of Elected Officials in Richardson, Frisco, McKinney, Fairview, Lucas, Parker, Sachse, Wylie, and Murphy

(McKinney, Texas) -  Taking another significant step forward in his campaign for Texas State Senate, State Rep. Ken Paxton today announced that he has been endorsed by over 50 mayors and city council members across 10 cities in Senate District 8 (see list on following page).

Paxton announced support from McKinney Mayor Brian Loughmiller, Allen Mayor Steve Terrell and the entire Allen City Council, Lucas Mayor Rebecca Mark, Sachse Mayor Mike Felix, Murphy Mayor Bret Baldwin, and Wylie Mayor Eric Hogue.  Paxton has earned a majority of council members from Richardson, McKinney, Fairview, Frisco, Lucas, Sachse, Murphy, and Wylie; in total, 51 of 68 current elected officials from 10 cities are backing him.

Today's announcement continues a steady stream of endorsements for Rep. Paxton, as last week he was endorsed by the entire Collin County Commissioners Court.  Rep. Paxton has also been endorsed by over 75% of precinct chairs eligible to endorse in SD 8, and he has earned the endorsement of Texans for Lawsuit Reform, Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, Texas Right to Life, Conservative Republicans of Texas, and Young Conservatives of Texas.

Allen Mayor Steve Terrell said, "As Mayor of Allen for 16 years I know that Ken Paxton has been a strong advocate for our city and represents our values in Austin. Ken's door is always open and he listens to local leaders and constituents. I am proud to join the entire Allen City Council in endorsing Ken Paxton to serve us in the Texas State Senate."

Outlining his reasons for endorsing Paxton, Parker Mayor Pro Tem Z Marshall said, "Ken Paxton has the experience required to succeed in the Texas State Senate. He has done a great job as a state representative, and his track record proves that his values reflect those of the district. I look forward to working with him as our senator."

Sachse City Councilman Bill Adams said, "Ken Paxton is a conservative with unquestionable integrity and the ability to navigate through the maze of issues facing our great state by separating fact from emotional or partisan smoke-screens. His values and belief system mirror both mine and those of all true conservatives, and I have absolutely no doubt that he will be an exceptional senator for both his district and the entire state of Texas."

Frisco City Councilman Jeff Cheney said, "Ken Paxton has been a valuable advocate for Collin County in the state legislature.  He is responsive to local city leaders and has always stood up for us in the state house. We need Ken's conservative leadership in the Texas State Senate."

Wylie Mayor Eric Hogue commented, "I have met Ken Paxton in his capacity as state representative as well as in a personal setting. Ken is a businessman and a family man, and he cares about our community. I can confidently say that Ken is the right person to serve us in the Texas State Senate."

Rep. Paxton responded, "This show of support is broad, deep, and very significant to our campaign.  These leaders know I will be responsive to them as they seek to represent the needs of their communities.  I deeply appreciate each one of these elected officials and am honored to have their support."
